For boys ages 6-10, our Kudta Chadra and Complete Pehrawa pieces are hand-stitched in slightly larger sizing with a +$5 age tier surcharge on clothing items. The age 6-10 tier reflects the additional fabric and embroidery work required for this growing size range — slightly more elaborate Morni Chandra peacock embroidery, longer kurta length, fuller chadra wrap.

This is the age range where boys start to actively engage with the cultural tradition — they recognise their Vaisakhi outfit, request specific colours, and want to wear it for family photos. Pieces here are stitched to last across 2-3 years of growth with proper sizing-up.

Pricing for Ages 6-10

Kids Kudta Chadra (multicolour Morni Chandra): $130 USD ($125 base + $5 age tier). Golden/silver variant: $150 ($145 + $5). Kids Complete Pehrawa bundle: $204 ($199 + $5 age tier). Accessories remain flat-priced: Jutti $35, Kaintha $20, Pagg $25.

Free worldwide shipping still applies on the Complete Pehrawa bundle for ages 6-10. For older kids and teens, see our ages 11-15 collection ($10 age tier surcharge). For younger kids, see ages 0-5 at base pricing.

Sizing for Ages 6-10

For this age range we use a 5-point measurement chart: chest circumference, shoulder width, kurta length (shoulder to mid-thigh), sleeve length (shoulder to wrist), and chadra waist. After ordering, Veerpal will reach out on WhatsApp to confirm these measurements before any fabric is cut. Detailed measurement instructions are at our size guide page.

For families ordering ahead for a future occasion (e.g. ordering in November for a March Vaisakhi), kids in this age range may grow 2-4 inches over a 4-month window. Why is there a $5 surcharge for ages 6-10?: The 6-10 age tier requires more fabric (longer kurta, fuller chadra), and we typically add slightly more elaborate Morni Chandra embroidery for the larger surface area. The $5 covers materials and labour — same hand-stitched construction, just sized larger.
Can I get the same outfit my older child wore for the next sibling at this age?: Yes — we keep order records. Message Veerpal on WhatsApp with the older child's order details and we can reproduce the design with adjusted sizing for the younger sibling. Many families do this for matching family photo sessions across years.
