No pieces in this collection yet — new arrivals stitching now ji 🦚
Our Punjabi Suits collection is hand-stitched at our Bathinda workshop using premium silk, crepe silk, and Banarasi silk fabrics with hand-work detailing. These are boutique pieces — custom-cut and stitched to your measurements, with intricate hand-work on the dupatta, neckline, and sleeves.
For Punjabi women in the diaspora, finding a properly-tailored suit overseas is hard. Off-the-rack suits at North American retailers rarely fit correctly across the chest, sleeve length, and dupatta drape simultaneously. Our suits are made for your measurements specifically — and shipped directly from Bathinda where the craft tradition originates.
Suit Styles Available
The collection includes A-line silhouettes (most flattering across body types), traditional straight-cut suits, and contemporary fusion pieces. Fabrics range from breathable crepe silk (everyday cultural wear) to formal Banarasi silk (weddings, sangeet, mehendi). Hand-work detailing varies — Morni-inspired motifs on the dupatta, mirror-work on the kameez, or thread-work borders on the salwar.
For coordinated family events, browse our Wedding Pehrawa collection, where the women's suits are colour-matched to the men's and kids' Kudta Chadra pieces — useful when the whole family is dressing for the same wedding.
Custom Sizing for Suits
Punjabi suit fit is more nuanced than a kurta — it depends on chest, waist, hip, kameez length, sleeve length, salwar length, salwar opening, and dupatta drape preference. After ordering, Veerpal will reach out on WhatsApp to walk through measurements before any fabric is cut. We use a 9-point measurement chart for suits (vs 5-point for kids Kudta Chadra), so the fit lands on the first try.
For overseas customers, we recommend sending a video of yourself or a friend taking the measurements, so we can confirm the technique. Sizing instructions and a measurement guide are at our size guide page.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the price range for Punjabi suits?
- Custom suits range from $150 USD (lightweight crepe silk, simple work) to $400+ USD (Banarasi silk, heavy hand-work). Pricing depends on fabric, level of hand-work, and any custom add-ons. Browse the collection for current prices on each piece.
- Can you make a suit matching a kurta I already own?
- Often yes — message Veerpal on WhatsApp with photos of the existing kurta. We can colour-match the dupatta or kameez, and reproduce simple embroidery motifs. Complex copies require fabric sourcing and may add 1-2 weeks to the timeline.
- How long does a custom suit take?
- Custom Punjabi suits take 2-4 weeks of stitching at the workshop (longer than a kurta because of fabric handling and dupatta work), plus 7-14 days international shipping. Plan 4-6 weeks ahead for occasions.
