Kids Punjabi Jutti

Loading product...

The Jutti is traditional Punjabi hand-crafted footwear, made from soft leather with embroidered detailing on the upper. Worn with a Kudta Chadra, the Jutti completes the traditional silhouette from head to toe. Our Jutti is colour-coordinated to match our Morni Chandra Kudta Chadra series, and ships free as part of the Complete Pehrawa bundle.

Materials & Construction

Our Jutti is constructed from soft leather, with hand-embroidered detailing on the upper. The leather is sourced from the same network of Punjabi craftspeople who have supplied generations of Jutti makers. The sole is stitched, not glued, which means the Jutti holds up to multiple seasons of wear and maintains shape over time.

The embroidery on the upper is done in coordinated thread to match a paired Kudta Chadra — so when worn together as part of the Complete Pehrawa bundle, the colour palette flows from kurta to jutti without any visible seam in styling.

The traditional Punjabi Jutti has a distinct silhouette — pointed toe (less aggressive than a North Indian Mojari), curved arch, and an embroidered upper band. The construction differs from a generic ethnic-wear shoe in three ways: the leather is hand-cut rather than die-cut (so the toe shape is asymmetrical, organic, not stamped); the upper is sewn to the sole with traditional Pulkari-style stitching (visible from the side as a craft detail); and the inner lining is leather rather than synthetic, so the Jutti breaks in over the first 2-3 wears and conforms to the wearer's foot.

The Hand-Embroidery on the Upper

The embroidered detailing on our Jutti uppers is done by hand at our Bathinda workshop, using thread colours coordinated to the paired Kudta Chadra. This is what differentiates a heritage Punjabi Jutti from a generic ethnic-wear shoe — the detail is intentional, made for a specific outfit.

The technique borrows from the same Punjabi embroidery traditions that produce our Morni Chandra Kudta Chadra series: chain stitch outlines, satin stitch fills, and metallic thread accents where the design calls for it. Each Jutti pair takes additional time to embroider beyond the basic shoe construction.

Hand-Crafted in Bathinda, Punjab

Every piece you order from Pehrawa Boutique is hand-crafted at our Bathinda workshop in Indian Punjab. Production is led by founder Sukhpreet Singh's mother, with a senior tailor and team of women embroidery artisans who have spent decades perfecting the cut, the embroidery, and the finishing details.

This is craft passed down inside families, not a brand we built last year. The senior tailor learned from his father; the embroidery artisans were taught by their mothers. None of it is in a textbook. If we don't keep ordering hand-stitched pieces, the technique dies in one generation.

Quality inspection is done personally by Singh's mother before any piece leaves the workshop. Customer-facing operations on the diaspora side are led by Veerpal Khera in Brampton, Ontario, who handles WhatsApp consultations for sizing, custom embroidery, and post-delivery follow-up.

Why Buy the Complete Pehrawa Bundle Instead?

If you're ordering this piece on its own at $35, plus $35 shipping, total delivered cost is $70. But the Complete Pehrawa bundle includes the Kudta Chadra, Jutti, Kaintha, and Pagg together at $199 with FREE worldwide shipping.

For most families ordering for an occasion, the bundle is the better-value choice — and the colour-coordination across pieces takes experience to get right. Browse the bundle to compare.

Can I get my child's name embroidered in Gurmukhi?
Yes — Gurmukhi (or English Roman) name embroidery is included at no extra cost. Specify in the order notes or message Veerpal on WhatsApp after ordering. We confirm the spelling on WhatsApp before stitching begins.
What payment methods do you accept?
Stripe checkout (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) for all international orders. E-Transfer additionally available for Canadian customers; UPI for Indian customers.
